In my last poll, I asked if alternative therapies were beneficial to those who have mental illnesses. Most people said they depend on the illness being treated, while others decided that yes, they do help in healing and wellness.
I found this video online the other day. The speaker does a great job in explaining how movement therapy can help mental patients have a baseline relationship with others, since the mental illnesses leave them in states of isolation. He also talks about a young girl named Caroline that he met and how his relationship with her changed once she put all of her focus into therapy and how therapy is an excellent intervention to help bodily function in the suffering girl.
